The primary goal of this research is to promote the improvement of accessibility for children, adolescents, and young people to sexual and reproductive health rights and services in a context of diversity through television. To conduct this research, we chose a sample of 200 units providing quantitative data, and others providing qualitative data, including 10 semi-structured interviews. The selection of this sample is based on a range of different sociodemographic characteristics (gender, age, education level, marital status, activity etc.). Moreover, there is an urgent need for sexual and reproductive health rights among young people and teenagers due to their growing awareness of its importance in addressing a range of negative aspects within society. This is linked to the fact that most of the interviewees have a education level. In contrast, there is a significant absence of these rights in media content on Moroccan television.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Education Review Provision https://psppjournals.org/index.php/jerp/article/view/490 Needs Analysis-Based Teaching Materials Develoment for English Speaking Skill Course in Tertiary Level of Education 2025-01-06T10:33:09+07:00 Kaharuddin Kaharuddin kaharruddin25@gmail.com
English is a compulsory subject for students in Indonesia. However, the English learning process is often not concordant with the needs and level of students. The development of English learning materials is not based on needs analysis, but based on the instincts of lecturers so that their effectiveness to help students master English is not reliable. This research was conducted to explain the benefits of using needs analysis to develop the materials of English teaching in university. 137 respondents were determined purposively. The research data were obtained by questionnaire distribution. The data analysis technique was descriptive technique. This research was conducted by using the development method with three systematic phases. 1) Input phase: conducting analysis of students’ needs, 2) development phase: formulating English learning goals and objectives which become the basis for determining and developing course content, and 3) output phase: creating draft lesson plans and prototype learning materials. This research produces a methodology for developing English learning materials where a learning plan and prototype for a needs-based English learning unit are obtained. The methodology of this teaching materials development can be used by lecturers in creating teaching materials for other English courses they teach.
2025-01-31T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Education Review Provision https://psppjournals.org/index.php/jerp/article/view/577 Assessing Pedagogical Competence Among Prospective Primary School Teachers: A Case Study 2025-04-21T10:06:12+07:00 Askar Harun askrhrnndq@gmail.com
With an emphasis on their self-perceived strengths and shortcomings in a variety of areas, such as topic knowledge, teaching tactics, classroom management, and technology integration, this study evaluates the pedagogical competency of aspiring primary school teachers. Data were gathered from 150 participants in a teacher training program at a prestigious university using a quantitative survey approach. According to the results, although the participants demonstrated a solid command of the subject matter, they also had modest opinions of their own teaching methods and classroom management, as well as a marked lack of confidence when it came to incorporating technology into their lesson plans. These findings highlight the necessity for teacher training programs to better strike a balance between academic understanding and real-world application, especially when it comes to topics like digital tool use and classroom management. According to the study, increasing possibilities for practical learning and incorporating technology-focused training could greatly raise future teachers' pedagogical proficiency.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Education Review Provision https://psppjournals.org/index.php/jerp/article/view/322 Freire's Problem Posing Concept of Education: A Model for Nigeria System of Education 2025-04-21T10:07:47+07:00 Ratzinger E. E. Nwobodo frig2014@gmail.com
Education is across the globe, rightly considered a veritable tool for a holistic transformative development of both individuals and nations of the world. It is in this line that Fafunwa, an erudite scholar, described education as "the act of informing, forming and strengthening of the powers of the body and mind; a process for transmitting culture for the purpose of continuity and growth and for disseminating knowledge to ensure social control and guarantee rational direction of society" (cited in Ezeani, 2005, p. 13). A critical look at the Nigerian society with her multitude of graduate and postgraduate degree holders leaves one but to wonder whether or not education is indeed key to unlocking the transformative potentials of both individuals and the nation. The disparity and polarization between education and transformation in Nigeria serves as the precursor to our look at Paulo Freire's problem posing education system as an alternative to banking system of education and a way of unearthing the dividends of quality and holistic education in Nigeria. In this light of the above, I ask: what is meant by the banking system of education? What does Freire mean by the problem posing education system? What role would this in Nigeria and Nigerian education system play? What should be done to incorporate this system in the Nigerian system of education? Using the analytic method, this essay reveals that Freire's problem posing education system ought to be adopted in Nigeria if the impact of education must be felt in the Nigerian society. The work suggests that adequate infrastructure, personnel and funding must be provided in order to achieve this.
2025-04-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Education Review Provision
